One and a half hours from Paris, the « Route des Vignobles du Cœur de France » (the vineyard route in the heart of France) invites you for a visit, from hillsides to castles, and proposes for you a 170km tour in the heart of the French countryside.

The "Route des Vignobles du Cœur de France" leaves from the banks of the Loire which flows through the hill in Giennois and Sancerrois. It is the fourth tour that is prepared in the wine-makers Loire and it makes it possible to go from Sancerre to Nantes.

This new route, prepared essentially from the initiative of the «Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins du Centre» unfurls like a ribbon going mainly through the Cher department. Winding along the hillsides, from the limestone hills in Sancerrois to the enclosures in Boischaut, the « Route des Vignobles du Cœur de France » invites you to discover an authentic region, where nature is preserved, with a rich heritage and events that will remind you what the word “fête” truly means.

This circuit through a garden of vineyards allows you to discover the cellars in Centre-Loire and their five « appellations d'origine contrôlée » (registered brands): Sancerre, Menetou-Salon, Quincy, Reuilly, Giennois, and the Châteaumeillant vineyards. These territories are famous for their dry white wines made from “sauvignon » grapes ; they also produce a fruity red wine coming from the « pinot » grapes, as well as a « grey » wine which is a light rosé to be appreciated slowly.
